The Bateleur – Quarter 3 (2018)

From the Editor

“We’re pleased to be able to report on a number of accomplishments over the last quarter. Our Students from the Higher Education and Training courses in Nature Conservation all returned from their workplaces to start their second semester modules on 23 July 2018. The College received very positive media coverage around the arrival of our pack dogs from Texas. We also hosted a number of student groups, media and other stakeholders whilst also facilitating various staff development opportunities.

In addition, we’ve been able to build relationships with new donors and consolidate our relationships with long-standing supporters. As always, we include updates from our various business units and share our plans for the addition of a long-awaited e-commerce facility for our website.

We also pay tribute to Board member Mr. Ernest Mokganedi, who was tragically killed in a motorbike accident on 28 July 2018, as well as Respect Mathebula, one of the Southern African Wildlife College’s Jobs Fund learners who participated in a year-long Nature Conservation Resource Guardianship course and was recently killed in the line of duty in the Kruger National Park.”
