2017 represented the Trust’s 17th year in keen support of education in nature and wildlife conservation at the College. Highlights of the year included our AGM in July, attending the graduation of the HET students at the College in November, and the awarding of the highly-prized three SAWCT scholarships and two SAWCT bursaries for 2018. Our Annual Reports were posted out in December 2017, please contact our fundraiser should you not have received your copy.

An operations meeting in February 2018 with WWF, the Trust’s administrator, confirmed that we are “on the right track” as we continue to grow our support to the College into the future. Most encouraging was the feedback on the performance of our investment in the WWF supported Prescient Living Plant Fund, which has shown remarkable returns more recently! Not only do donations to our progressive Trust support education in nature conservation, they are also invested in a fund that minimises its environmental foot print.
With just over R600,000 raised in the current financial year, which ended in February 2018, we would like to express our most sincere thanks and acknowledge the ongoing and generous support of these donors over the past 12 months. The 18A tax certificates will be sent to our individual donors after tax year end.
