As you visit Southern African Wildlife College online, you’ll probably notice that things look a little different.  We’ve been busy over the last few months reconceptualising our digital presence with exciting results.

First of all, we have a new-look website, which we’re currently testing. Our official launch will be a celebration of a platform that’s more intuitive, less content heavy and better able to share our story with supporters, partners, donors, students and members of the general public. We also hope to make information on the College more accessible, with better navigation tools and links. We know that a website is a living thing, so there will be regular updates to our news section, clearer calls to action and better donation facilities for those who see the value in our work for the future of conservation in Africa.

A very big thank-you goes to Viget, who donated their time and expertise to craft a vision and design for the new site, and to New Media Campaigns, who built the new site.

Secondly, although we are sad to say goodbye to our newsletters in their current format, they have now migrated to a digital format once again making information that much more accessible. You can look forward to the same quality of content, just shared differently. And by shared we mean both with you and by you, because all content will now be anchored to our website and easily shareable via social media channels. We’ll also have access to powerful analytic tools to help measure our reach and understand what our readers find most interesting.

We’re also now on Instagram! Please follow us. We’ll follow you back. Please also use our hashtags when posting content from or about the College (#wildlifecollege #sawildlifecollege #southernafricanwildlifecollege). From time to time, we’ll share different ones linked to various campaigns.

And lastly (for now!) our popular Facebook page is also going to have a makeover. We’ll use it to remarket our content and build our community of common interest, motivated by the passion and commitment that underscores everything we do! Please do continue posting and sharing your experiences by visiting our page and helping us build a global network for wildlife conservation.

We’re excited to have your continued support as we grow and evolve the above-mentioned platforms and channels. None of our valuable conservation work would be possible without you and we hope they’re going to serve you well by making your support visible and making our news more accessible.
