Tintswalo was born and raised in Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, and now she is the appointed manager at Nourish Eco Village – a non-profit organisation aimed at bridging the divide between rural communities on the outskirts of the Kruger National Park and the wildlife economy generated by tourism in the area.
After completing high school in 2013, Tintswalo furthered her studies by enrolling in Financial Management at Mapulaneng TVET College and graduated with her National Diploma in 2016. In 2019, she was presented a Nedbank Learnership opportunity at Nourish, where she spent a year as the Assistant Administrator. Here, she demonstrated her value as a capable and innovative member of the team and was subsequently offered a job as the team manager.
Tintswalo’s job allows her to participate in uplifting her local community through teaching sustainable living for food and income security. She is motivated by the opportunity she has been given to make a change and help mitigate the conservation issues prevalent in the area.
