I am an enthusiastic young man with 30 years of age born in a small town called Bizana situated within the Northern border of the Eastern Cape at Mount Zion Location under the leadership of Chief “Mavuma” Faku. I matriculated in 2008 at Bizana Senior Secondary School. After a 4 year gap, I enrolled at UNISA for a Diploma in Nature Conservation in 2012.
I am currently employed as a Section Ranger by Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency (ECPTA) stationed at Tsolwana/ Commando Drift Nature Reserve. I have been in the industry for the past five years.I started my conservation work related journey at Mkambati Nature Reserve (ECPTA) situated within the Northern Pondoland of the Eastern Cape along wild coast as a Nature Conservation Volunteer in 2016. I am a proud member of Kloof Conservancy based in Krantrzkloof Nature Reserve. I have worked tirelessly in various outreach programs including eco- schools projects with Kloof Conservancy.
I have also volunteered in the protection of both captive and wild animals at Umgeni River Bird Park and Mkambati Nature Reserve in the Eastern Cape. I was appointed as a Senior Field Ranger for 2 years after spending less than one year as a Conservation intern at Mkambati Nature Reserve.
I believe that we are extremely blessed to have been brought up to an African planet which is rich in biodiversity and I leave with these words “let us Nurture the natural resources for environmental survival”
