The Bateleur – Quarter 4 (2021)

Dear friends of the College,

The year is now finally drawing to a close and what a year it’s been! Despite all the challenges faced, we are buoyed by the work we are involved in. Our staff soldiered on regardless of the fact that everyone was under pressure given that a number of staff were placed on a three-day working week. This, necessitated by the mandated reduction in student numbers as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and continuing social distancing requirements.

The team’s resilience and creative thinking continues to surprise us, as do our students who remain committed to their studies and to the impact they make, and will continue to make both in their workplaces and in conservation at large.

Our sincere thanks is extended to each and every one of you for your commitment and support. To our donors, supporters and partners, our work would not be possible without you. We look forward to partnering again with you next year, to meet our respective objectives and as we continue to strive to inspire everyone we train and engage with to conserve our natural world.

We trust that you will enjoy reading the wrap-up reports from our departments. Here’s wishing everyone a very blessed, peaceful and joy-filled festive season.

Best wishes,

Jeanné Poultney
Executive Manager – Marketing, Fundraising and Media Relations
