Advanced Certificate in Nature Conservation: Transfrontier Conservation Management
A Field Ranger and proud father of daughters pursuing a Diploma in Nature Conservation.
“I want to expand my knowledge and grow my skills in conservation so that I can help raise awareness in my community. I hope to teach the next generation about the importance of conserving our environment and the SAWC is giving me to tools to do that.”
Enoch is a proud father of two girls and his priorities for the future revolve around a healthy environment for them. Working as a Field Ranger for the Eastern Cape Parks and Tourism Agency for the past five years has given him insight into the challenges that exist in a local context, and he is motivated to help address them.
Completing his current course in the Advanced Certificate in Nature Conservation will be his second qualification attained at the SAWC having completed the National Certificate in 2017. Ultimately, he is determined to achieve his Diploma so that he can advance his position at Mkambati Nature Reserve and address localised conservation issues such as poaching, bush fires, and littering.
Enoch requires support towards the R75 000 needed for his bursary. This is an amount that he does not have access to personally, which is why the SAWC as a non-profit organisation is calling upon a network of donors and supporters to help raise these funds. By donating any amount, large or small, you are playing a crucial role in helping Enoch receive the best possible training for his career in conservation.
